ETHOS

TU·ET·AL shares the beauty of Earth in its most wild, uninterrupted state, by harnessing the power of modernized esoteric symbolism and magical herbalism into soap, scent and skincare.

The workshop is located within the home of Natalie and Matthew Kanbergs, where nature is carefully protected by the Catskill/Delaware Watersheds. Earth, Air, Fire, and Water exist in their purest forms and stand as the guiding force behind all the beautiful scents, colors, and medicines.

Working in an alchemical tradition, we potentiate the living waters we work with under the moon and other significant astrological events, endowing our products with the energy of the cosmos. As Hermetic principle states: As above, so below.

Just as vessels served as the physical objects of transformation for the alchemists, we place deep importance for further potentiating our creations with the design and materials for the boxes and bottles intentionally crafted to hold them.

By way of the waters, oils, herbs, and plants, TU·ET·AL gifts you and others the purest expression of Earth’s exquisiteness, imbued with cosmic energy to illuminate the clearest beauty from within you.

THE ALCHEMISTS

Matthew Kanbergs is a multifaceted maker, artist, medicine man, and musician. Born and raised in Alameda, California, his connection to nature runs as deep as the redwood trees. His exposure to culture through spirituality, music, and art in the Bay Area allowed him to develop a refined appreciation for human expression at an early age.

More than 15 years ago, he brought his talents to New York City, where he emerged in the world of fashion through photography, all while studying natural medicine, creating art, and deepening his connection to others. When he answered the call to fatherhood in 2019, his creative path expanded to the Catskill Mountains, where he further refined his work into what is now TU·ET·AL.

He continues his work as a photographer and is currently studying alchemical herbalism at the School of Evolutionary Herbalism.

Natalie Kanbergs is an entrepreneur, writer, herbalist, traditional birth attendant, postpartum care practitioner, and producer. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and splitting her time at her family’s cabin in the Poconos, she moves fluidly between the machine of modernity and the perfection of nature’s chaos.

Trained as a writer, Natalie brought her gifts to New York City nearly 20 years ago, where she discovered subtle networks of mindful magicians who generously shared their wisdom with her over the years. Upon becoming a mother, she answered the call to further serve women, embarking on the path of attending them through birth and the sacred postpartum window.

Through mentorship, devoted teachers, and circles of sacred sisterhood, she deepened her connection to herbal medicine, alchemical practice, and Earth magic. Today, TU·ET·AL serves as her primary channel for sharing her gifts with you and others.

She is currently studying alchemical herbalism through the School of Evolutionary Herbalism.
